"If theatre is a civic space, if The Bunker is a civic space, the doors should always be open, for everyone to create, to talk, to learn. Last year we opened a free Writers' Snug, offered drop in sessions and always had an open door policy. So for the first week of the Takeover Season we wanted to extend this further. For the first week the artist in charge is you. The Bunker is yours. Come play."
Join us in The Bunker every afternoon to play, make music, rehearse plays, have meetings or write (on the walls and on your laptops).
Every room in the theatre is available including the dressing room, the Writers' Snug, the bar and of course the theatre.
Each evening there will be a drink and a useful talk and Q&A about something that could help tangibly with putting on shows at the fringe and the wider theatre world and at lunch there will be a smaller version of the talk, for those of you that have limited time.
Monday 3rd: Ed Theakston, Front of House Manager: "How to make fringe shows accessible"
Tuesday 4th: Chris Sonnex, Artistic Director: "How to defeat imposter syndrome"
Wednesday 5th: David Ralf, Executive Director: "How to make theatre happen with no money"
Friday 7th: Hannah Fisher, Head of Production: "How to programme basic sound and lights"
